Test out some online free Lightroom preset and then adjust it to what i want. Overall the result are amazing, simple step compared to photoshop (but ofcouse more freedom).. Some are totally LR, some i add a light leak texture to give something different..

All shots are using nikkor 50mm f/1.8 open at f/2.. 1/50s.. Nikon D80.. jpeg..

Pada 28 April 2012, bertempat di Tasek Merdeka, Johor Bahru, Kelab Nikon (M'sia) telah mengadakan satu pertandingan Model Photoshoot khas utk pengguna Nikon yang berdaftar sempena outing 'Get2Gether2' . Kira-kira seramai 100++ peserta menyertai outing ini.

Alhamdulillah, salah satu foto yang saya ambil berjaya ke peringkat seterusnya dan akhirnya dipilih antara 3 yang terbaik - rezeki utk Isteri saya sempena Hari Ibu utk 2012.

Ketiga-tiga pemenang akan mendapat satu model kamera digital kompak Nikon P7000; syukur alhamdulillah. Lepas ni, x perlu la selalu sgt nak bawak kamera besar berjalan2, cukuplah sekadar kamera kompak ini shj memandangkan kualiti gambarnya cukup baik.

Saya bukanlah mahu berbangga sangat dengan kejayaan ini, cuma sekadar berkongsi kerana inilah pertama kali saya mendapat hadiah berbentuk kamera dari pertandingan fotografi yang saya sertai. Walaupun, dari segi nilai ianya tidak semahal mana, tapi saya tetap bersyukur kerana impian isteri saya untuk memiliki kamera yg boleh dimasukkan dalam beg tangan dapat dimiliki.

Lepas ni juga, bolehlah ber-ekperimen dgn kamera ni pula, utk melihat sejauh mana kemampuannya. Akhir kata, terima kasih buat Nikon Malaysia & NikonClub Johor - The Art of Seeing -

Photo Colour Enhancement

In this simple tutorial, is to add or boost some colour while maintaining the skin tone

 1. Open fail

 2. Adjust exposure

 3. Create an area by using lasso tool; then press ctrl-shift-i to masking around the frame, adjust the exposure using curve or level

 4. You can see the selected area a bit darker.

 5. Using colour balance to enhance the colour; there is 3 part; shadow/midtone/highlight; each give a different result.

 6. Use gradient to add more dark at random area, also to add some flare efx.

 7. Adjust the vibrance/saturation of the image.

 8. The different before and after.

Colour - How to Xprocessing

 1. Open your image you want to edit.

 2. Adjust the exposure by using curve tools.

 3. Using lasso tool, select the area around your subject, then press ctrl-shift-i to make masking area, then using level tools and adjust the slider until the efx you want (in this photo the efx area has been adjust).

 4. Using RGB curve, make a similar 's' curve for red & green channel, while the opposite way for green channel, readjust the overal exposure if needed.

 5. Using gradient map and set it black/white, then set to soft light and opacity about 32%. This will add contrast a little bit to the whole image.

 6. Using colour balance, and by set to shadow tone area, slide those three channel to the efx you want to.

 7. Adjust the white point, lower the contrast a bit.

 8. I use this texture to add some efx to the image.

9. Add the texture to the above layer, set it to soft light and opacity about 75%, using eraser tools to erase the area which cover the talent face.

This just a simple few step. Of course there is another way to do it, but this is just the way i do to my pictures. Have a nice day and enjoying this simple tutorial.
